Sound Around is the cheapest and easiest way to create and manage your own customized iPhone application. We're talking about 50 cents per day. Now your fans will be able to access your music, videos, photos, show schedule, tweets and more anytime, anywhere.
Don't worry about the nerd stuff, we'll take care of you. Much like creating a Myspace Music page, all you have to do is create an account and upload your content -- we'll take care of the rest. You'll probably have to copy and paste some Youtube links in but that's about as high-tech as it gets.
Once you sign up and log in, you'll be redirected to the Content Management System, or CMS. If you can update a Myspace or Facebook page, you will have no problem navigating through Sound Around's CMS to get all of your content uploaded in just a matter of minutes.
Sound Around is a place for you to get all your usual internet content onto mobile phones. Fans can hear your songs, watch your videos, see your photos, read your news, check out your show schedule, see your tweets, and buy song and show tickets through your app. Basically, you can entertain your fans while they're on the go AND take advantage of money making features to not only break even, but put a little extra cash in your pocket.
Nope. We've done the research and established the relationship with Apple so that you don't have to. Think of us as your personal agent into the mobile world.
Right now we aren't set up to allow you to charge for your app. This may (and we stress "may") be available in the future, but we can't promise anything. Right now, all apps are offered for free to your fans.
Luckily, we've set you up for smooth sailing. Much like a Myspace page, all of the new content is available to your mobile users immediately upon submission. In layman's terms, you can change pretty much all of it whenever you so desire - your fans will instantly have access to the new content that you submit.
As long as you leave out the particularly obscene stuff, we can say with 99% certainty that you will have nothing to worry about. Use your big boy (or girl) brain, and you should be fine. If some wild hiccup happens to come up, we'll work with you to get your app up and running compliant with Apple's requirements. If we can't find something that works for you, you'll get a full refund.
$14 per month. That's 50 cents per day. That's two quarters per day. You could probably find 6 and 1/2 days' worth in your couch depending on how long it's been since your last sofa safari.
Nope, that would be super lame. We're on a pay as-you-go schedule so if you change your mind and we're not impressing you, feel free to cancel on us.
Your albums and individual songs can be easily bought through the application! If one person wants to buy your album at a show but doesn't have the cash, they can buy it through the app via iTunes - it pretty much pays for itself. The app is also a great place to promote shows to your fans - and the more fans that come to your shows...the more $$ you make.
There is no transfer or claim of ownership made by Sound Around when you upload your content. Our job is solely to display the content that the account owner uploads. If you do not have the legal right to distribute a song, video, etc. -- DON'T DO IT!
